This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Picture this: 25 energetic kids sprinting into the gym, dropping water bottles, lunch boxes, and rogue soccer balls like it’s a yard sale. Now imagine me, the PE teacher, doing an Olympic-level dodge every class to avoid stepping on someone’s thermos. It’s organized chaos—with heavy emphasis on chaos.

I love teaching physical education, but my gym desperately needs a storage glow-up.

Right now, we have equipment rolling around like tumbleweeds in a wild west movie, and kids' personal items end up scattered across the floor like confetti. We need a few sturdy shelves for students to store their belongings safely and a rolling PE equipment bin so I don’t have to drag jump ropes and cones like a pack mule from one end of the gym to the other.

With your help, we can bring some much-needed order to our gym. Students can focus on movement and teamwork instead of tripping over their snack bags. I’ll be able to set up class faster, keep things safer, and maybe even stop pulling hula hoops out of weird places.
