Sow the Seeds for the Joy of Reading!

Help me give my students books for beginning readers. Many of our library's early reader books are well-loved and need replacing. These new and replacement titles will encourage life long readers and learners.

My Project

Our PreK-2nd grade students have a natural desire to learn. They come into the library very excited to check out books. Our library does have a beginner leveled section. But a lot of our beginning reader books are paperback, flimsy, and falling apart.

I would like to replace the old books with new, more sturdy, hardcover books!

Additionally, some of our early readers are eager to try out graphic novels. These graphic novels have been requested time and time again. Graphic novels help students build reading confidence, and ease their way toward chapter books.

This project will help foster the joy of reading for our PreK and up learners and help to continue our library's mission of providing students with at home reading materials!
