South Carolina History: In Living Color

Help me give my students glue sticks, scissors, a sharpener and the paper and pencils they need to bring SC History to life in a colorful and creative way. We will use these materials throughout the year and every little bit helps!

My Students

I teach at a middle school in Conway, SC. My students are very diversified to say the least. We run from one end of the spectrum to the other when it comes to socio-economics, personalities, likes and dislikes. Unique is a understatement.

With that being said, my students are the reason I love coming to work every day.

Although it is very challenging, it is very rewarding to see them achieve success. Middle school students are in a class by themselves; mine are no different, a daily challenge but, oh, so much fun!

My Project

We will use all these materials in class to bring SC History to life. We will create small group projects and interactive notebooks for each unit we study.

Maps, charts and colorful graphic organizers created by the students help enhance their learning and inspire creativity.

The interactive notebooks act as a yearlong journal of what they learn in class.

Having the proper materials at their disposal will create a stress free environment that is conducive to creative learning and my hope is that they will find a passion to become lifelong learners. Your help will go a long way in making this a reality,
