Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will allow my students to have access to materials that will support their learning efforts. Throughout the year there have been certain items we wished we had to make learning easier.
Students will be able to be more hands on and have a bit of fun while learning and practicing their reading and math skills.
Many students were not able to purchase their own headphones to use at the beginning of the year and others purchased ear buds that didn't last very long into the school year. With this project each student will have their own pair of headphones to use on a daily basis. When working on the school chrome books students won't have to worry about their neighbors listening in to the specific skills they are working on or worry about distracting others in the room who are working on other tasks.
This project will also provide items that students will be able to use while they work on independent assignments. In my classroom students are encouraged to use manipulatives and resources in the room to help support their learning. Students will be able to write their thoughts down during independent reading to share their thoughts later. They will also be able to work on becoming fluent on their multiplication facts while playing a fun learning game with their peers.
