My Project
This school year I am teaching five segments of early intervention reading with kindergarten, first, and second graders. These students are struggling readers and need explicit instruction in strategies related to sight words and phonics skills. They also need to be engaged in learning activities that support my whole group and small group instruction.
I have selected games and materials that will allow students to practice sight words and phonics skills in groups or independently.
There are two games where students can manipulate magnet letters within words or match letters to the correct sounds. There are laminated activity books and pages where students practice writing sight words and letters. This will help their handwriting. Finally, I am asking for dry erase markers to use with these activities.
