Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Third-grader (Noun)
\ˈthərd grā-dər\
- Someone who is a mathematician, reader, writer, artist, scientist, dancer, leader, explorer, and friend.
- Someone who NEEDS access to technology, high-quality books and an inclusive place to learn.
My third graders are curious and they try hard...really hard. They love to read, write, explore, and find answers to questions.
Did you know that they are also BILINGUAL, bicultural, and biliterate? They speak, read, and write in two languages (English and Spanish). That also means that during the school day, they learn in both languages.
My Project
An elementary classroom is full of students who learn in multiple ways. Some can easily read print, others need audio support.
The headphones requested on this project will help my students access books and articles on audio.
Did you know that students can access higher level (more difficult) texts on audio? That means that students can understand more complex texts when they hear them...
Your support on this project means that ALL my students can have access to high-leveled texts regarding of their reading ability. And to me this is the true meaning of access for all.
