My Project

My K-2 primary students are amazing! They LOVE music class and are game for absolutely anything I bring them: songs, creative movement, choreography, instrument playing, etc.

I am requesting an online, interactive, K-2 primary Kodaly music curriculum for one year.

This is a research-based program that includes songs, games, activities, worksheets, movement, and listening activities. I absolutely LOVE how Kodaly addresses total musicianship with our youngest learners. Solfege and rhythm syllables are of primary importance in every lesson, so that all students can become musically literate. Creative and choreographed movement is also stressed in every lesson.

I take my job as a primary music specialist VERY seriously, since these youngest ages are the most important to cement basic musicianship into all students' minds prior to them beginning more complicated music learning, such as band, choir, or orchestra.
