My Project

I teach an incredible group of young musicians who are just beginning their journey in the world of band. Many of my students are picking up an instrument for the very first time and are full of curiosity, energy, and a genuine desire to learn. Despite limited resources, they show up eager to grow, create, and make music together.

This project will provide essential woodwind supplies—reeds, ligatures, and neck straps—for our clarinet, alto saxophone, and tenor saxophone players.

These items are not just accessories—they are necessities. Quality reeds allow students to produce a clearer, more consistent sound, while ligatures help them secure their mouthpieces properly for better tone and control. Neck straps improve posture and comfort, especially for beginners learning to manage their instrument’s weight.

Many of my students come from underserved communities and cannot afford these materials on their own. With your support, they can focus on what really matters: learning, practicing, and building confidence through music. These supplies will remove barriers and give every student the tools they need to succeed in band.
