Soul Studies: Honoring the Past and Healing the Present

My Project

At East High School I teach a diverse group of advanced-level students who come to my classroom eager to deepen their understanding of their own histories and those of their peers. To enrich and challenge them beyond the curriculum given, I incorporate children's literature and first-person narratives that bring depth, empathy, and rigor to our content. I've also introduced meditation tools to support their emotional well-being, helping them process complex topics and stay grounded. As a licensed wellness educator, I'm committed to fostering both intellectual and emotional growth in my students.
