Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We tend to take basic supplies for granted, it isn't until you no longer have access to those basic supplies that you realize how vital they are.

My students live in a high poverty area of New York City.

The class consists of general and special education students. They love to write, draw and create. Due to the current fiscal situation and budget cuts we no longer have access to basic copy paper, and teachers must supply their own paper.

My Project

We need mailboxes, so that my students are able to stay organized and learn independence and responsibility. With this mailbox, we would be able to sort their papers. Being independent and responsible is a valuable life skill for my students. The smallest things can make the biggest difference in the lives of my students. The pride and self-confidence that this can build are invaluable. Please help my students stay organized! With your help, my students will have a much-needed resource that will make a lasting impact in their education. Thank you so much for your generous donation and for caring about our education.
