Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As adults, we get excited with the latest technology that comes out on the market. My students are no different. They get highly motivated and excited with technology- especially if it's in their classroom!
My fourth grade class is compromised of 27 English Language Learners.
One little girl just joined my class and is a non-English speaker. My students live in a low income area and the majority of them live in non-English speaking households. They have very loving and supportive parents, but unfortunately they don’t have the income to buy them the latest technology to assist them in their learning. They also depend on their classroom to have access to the technology of the 21st century. My students are hard-working and would benefit greatly by having a piece of technology in their classroom that they could have access to.
My Project
The Sony Tablet will enhance the academic skills of my fourth graders and this will change their lives. My students will be able to have hands-on experience to the most current technology and they will use the tablet to do many learning activities. They will use it to read, write, listen to high frequency words, and listen to stories. They will also have access to an endless amount of other Language Arts activities. Students will also use the tablet to help them reinforce math skills as well!
The Sony Tablet will be a learning tool that will highly motivate my students to be the best learners they can be.
They will want to use it as often as they can and this will foster a love of learning!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
