This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in the high school band program are dedicated performers looking to become more competitive during their fall marching season, and looking to create a more exciting halftime show for the community! These DonorsChoose projects are to help us purchase and update the equipment we would need to amplify our front ensemble percussionists as well as any soloists in the band.

Our DHS band students have shown great dedication and effort in expanding and enhancing our program over the past few years.

Their hard work has paid off with multiple competition wins and a remarkable increase in band size since 2019.

Many of them, particularly the students in the front ensemble, have been participating since they were middle schoolers. They've spent thousands of hours practicing and improving and now we have the opportunity to show them off and compete at a state level if we have the proper equipment. Please help us for this upcoming season!

The purchase of a MIDI digital sampler pad for our high school marching band program represents a significant step forward in our quest for musical excellence. With its ability to expand our sound palette, customize soundscapes, facilitate innovative arrangements, and provide valuable educational opportunities, the sampler pad will undoubtedly elevate our performances to new heights. By embracing technology and embracing the endless possibilities it offers, our marching band can unlock its full sonic potential and captivate audiences like never before.
