My Students

My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.

All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn!

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 75 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore and play.

My Project

They aren't particularly glamorous, but they are the foundation for learning. We are in need of your classroom basics- things like dry erase markers, crayons, paper, ink and recess games.

They may not seem fancy, but they are the learning items that we use most.

Every day we use dry erase markers to "show what we know." We use crayons to color and recess games for indoor recess. The ink and paper are for communication home to my students' families and to create individualized materials that my students with special learning needs all require. Sometimes, it is the little things that count, that make learning accessible, that give all kids the materials they need to learn, succeed and grow.
