My students need hands-on activities like the AlphaMagnets and Alphabet Puzzles/Cards. My students need differentiated literacy centers for their unique reading levels.

My Students
I typically have various small groups in my classroom throughout the day. My hope for my students for the end of the year is for them to have the foundational skills that will carry them through their early educational years and beyond.
The students I work with are special education students.
Many are significantly below grade level and need a lot of explicit instruction, as well as repetition and review. They are hard working, lovable students that just need the extra support at home and in school.
My Project
The students in my room are so diverse I would be able to use a variety of hands-on and differentiated centers to meet all their needs. They may not be able to read or comprehend on their current grade level, but I will be able to set them up with the foundation skills they need in order to get to the point of reading or being able to comprehend. I hope that the various fun, and engaging activities will make them want to learn and enjoy coming to school.
Donations for this project will improve my classroom by allowing me to use differentiated materials like the AlphaMagnets and Alphabet Puzzles/Cards that will be able to access the learning styles of each of my students.
By captivating my students in these various activities on their levels, they will have a positive experience and outlook on school and their education.
