My students are lucky to have textbooks but no place to keep them all day. Their desks have piles of books on them and they struggle to find space to actually do their work.
My students are in a 12 student special education class.
Our classroom is small so tables were brought in instead of desks and so we don't have storage space for books under the desks. The students stay in the same classroom all day long so figuring out how to make sure they have all that they need to do their work is important.
My Project
If the students have these seat sacks they will be able to keep their materials on the back of their chair and have more room on their table to create their work. When you have more space to work your creativity is better able to come out. My students are in this constant battle with wanting all the books to read and wanting more space on their desks. These seat sacks would let them still have all they want but give them more space.
Donating to this project will help my students function better in their classroom.
Our classroom is a great place to be but could be better without the piles of books and supplies on their desks. Giving my students a place to keep their stuff will give them pride in their classroom and they will be excited to learn.
