My Students
Every day my students enjoy learning in different settings within the classroom. They always ask me first thing "can we use our tubs today?" They love working in different spaces and they are full of energy.
I teach in a Title I school in SC with many cultural differences and needs.
Most of my students come from homes with working parents who are not able to give them the much-needed reading time and additional school help. Regardless of their backgrounds the majority of my class wants to learn and be successful at everything they try.
My Project
It is really hard to learn and listen to the teacher when someone's in our space. We are first-graders, so sometimes we wiggle and giggle. It is easier to understand when we have room to sit.
We need a rug that has room for us to sit comfortably.
Sometimes we use the rug for silent reading or for partner reading. When we have our own assigned spaces we are less likely to distract others and will be able to work more comfortably. Since our school does not have extra funds for these types of things, could you help us, please?
