Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students are creative and determined. They have busy minds and busy hands! They're often creating things out of paper, bending paperclips into shapes, stacking things on top of each other, etc. STEM projects provide challenges for the brain to grow! They give students an opportunity to consider a problem and the resources they have to address it, all while working with a team.

With these materials, my students will complete a few STEM challenges to foster an innovative mindset as well as communication and collaboration!

It's important for the youngsters to have a variety of materials to choose from before they create a design so that they can visualize ideas and know what the constraints may be. They also need to be able to test, redesign, and retest their creation and some materials may need to be replaced to do that such as foil or wax paper. All of the materials for this project would mainly support our Earth Science challenges but also can be used for other challenges.
