Solar Panels to Provide Light

My students need these solar batteries as part of our light circuits.

My Students

My students are at-risk teens who were unsuccessful in traditional high schools. Our alternative high school provides the different learning environment that they need. All of these students are motivated to earn their high school diplomas.

The amazing 26 Earth and Environmental Science students at our alternative high school are excited to have the opportunity to make an impact.

Though they've all lived through struggles in their young lives, it is important to them to make a difference for others.

My Project

Working in partnership with Global Green STEM llc, our projected would pair our two classes with a school in an impoverished area that is without electricity (ie Native American reservation, Guam, South Africa, etc.).

We will assemble the solar panel and circuitry for a light that our parnter school will finish putting together in plastic bottles.

These plastic solar powered lights will be a product of our collaboration to light their school and homes.

Our goal is to collaborate with our partner school to empower them to be part of the solution to their own problem of not having electricity.
