Help me give my students lab materials to cultivate their own bacteria cultures!

My Project
My students are 9th graders learning about the wetlands here in New York City. The wetlands are vital ecosystems that protect us from floods, absorb carbon from the atmosphere, and provide a safe habitat for a diverse array of species. The soil in the wetlands is extremely complex, and home to trillions of microbes. My students will take a field trip to the wetlands, collect soil samples, and analyze them in multiple lab activities. These supplies will allow my students to prepare agar media plates, grow bacteria from the soil, and estimate the microbial health of the wetlands soil!
