My Project
My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. I need help to provide my students with items that will allow our class to begin each day with soft starts.
A soft start for students mimics the way you likely prefer to start your day – with a chance to settle in before beginning work.
Even with a soft start, kids still complete classroom morning routines (emptying backpacks, etc.) But when they finish, they have a handful of activities to choose from, rather than a worksheet. Kids are able to chat with friends during all of the activities. This strengthens the sense of community in our classroom and empowers my students to make their own choices.
