My Students
Over the past 16 years, I have taught in several different schools and I just moved to a new area and new school. 85% of the students receive free lunch at my Title I school. My current students are excited about learning. They appreciate any amount of time, any amount of love, and any amount of learning that I am able to give them.
I am passionate about keeping my students engaged and in maintaining their excitement!
While I cannot control the environment my students live, I do control my classroom environment. My room is a safe place for all of my students. Everyone is free to ask questions, make mistakes, and are able to be comfortable being themselves.
My Project
While having a large classroom is great for space and teaching collaborative small groups, the fluorescent lighting is harsh on my students’ eyes and they ask me to keep the lights off. With the lights off it is difficult to see and our eyes are strained.
The soft blue light covers will help provide a perfect learning environment.
I have purchased two packs already and it makes a big difference. But I still have 12 lights to cover.
After a day teaching math and science our brains hurt from learning. It will be nice not to have our eyes hurt as well. My students will be so excited to be able to see and not have headaches.
