I teach in a Title 1 school in an urban district. More than a third of my students come from low income households. I am trying to provide a safe, rich experience based learning environment for my students.
My students are beautiful, inquisitive, curious, creative, clever, and full of energy!!!
My students are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom. It’s my goal to meet the needs of all my students through fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate activities inside and outside the classroom.
My Project
The Kindergarten science curriculum focuses on ocean animals and their habitat at the beginning if the year. Wouldn't it be wonderful to wrap up our ocean habitat unit with a visit from the New England Aquarium?
The Aquarium's Traveling Education Program will provide my students with hands-on, sensory exploration which will deepen their understanding about habitats and adaptations.
I cannot not wait to see the looks on their faces as they explore tide pools!
Thank you for taking the time to read my request. By donating to our project you will enhance my students learning experience this year in Kindergarten. Thank you so much!
