This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Everyone needs to learn social skills to be a productive member of society. My students have moderate disabilities and need to be taught these explicitly.

I will be teaching these skills daily through literature and play.

My favorite part of my child development classes was the focus on how kids develop language and social skills.

Jill Ciolet states, "Play matters because people matter. It reminds us of our interdependence and gives us a chance to see other people and, in turn, to be really and truly seen."
