My Students

I teach first grade at a school in Utah. First graders are so much fun! They are so excited to come to school every day. They are kind to their friends, active and they love learning! At this age, they are working on building the foundations for their school careers.

They are so enthusiastic about learning.

First graders love hands-on activities and they give them the power to explore and solve problems on their own. Today more than ever they need the opportunity to see how their learning can be applied to other areas in their lives. I am so thankful to have a new group of students each year that are so excited to learn!

My Project

This Scholastic magazine subscription and the STEAM books will enhance my students learning of science and social studies through literature. The magazines in particular will give my students the opportunity to learn together as a class and also the opportunity to share what they have learned with their families. Getting a new magazine each month with something new and exciting to learn about will help to keep my students engaged.

This project will help to enrich my students love of learning about social studies and STEAM.

Giving them something to look forward to makes my heart happy!
