My Students

As a teacher in a school that serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade with different learning styles and levels, it is difficult to actively engage all students. I teach 23 second-grade students who are eager to learn new skills and practice them until they are infused into their brains.

The students in my class are excited to accept new challenges with vigor and strive to be the best they can be.

My students love to practice new skills using engaging books, materials, and Chromebooks. With the assistance of these positive and meaningful learning experiences, students will strive to reach academic excellence and goals.

My Project

Students love to choose their seats each and every day. As you know, most children love to feel in charge of the situation. Allowing students the ability to choose a different seat in the classroom, promotes students ability to focus, be responsible for their learning and encourage active engagement in the classroom.

The students would love to have the opportunity to choose lap trays to use in the classroom.

Students will use the lap trays on a daily basis! Children feel empowered when they have different options in the classroom. With these new lap desks, students will have a larger selection when making their weekly selection for a seat as well as choose a perfect location. Students always choose a "smart" seat and love to have more options to satisfy their seating desires for the week. This type of seating encourages students to choose not only comfortable seating, but also seating that provides the best opportunity to enhance learning in the classroom.
