This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will be used in both small group and individual counseling sessions with students in grades TK - 6. Play is a crucial pathway to learning for students; providing them opportunities to play and use their imagination while learning allows them to engage more deeply in the process and apply what they learn in their everyday lives.

These books and games allow students to learn crucial skills like emotional regulation, conflict resolution, making and keeping positive friendships, and practicing gratitude and mindfulness.

These skills will do more than just improve their relationships with peers and adults; research shows that students who are able to regulate their emotions and behavior are more successful socially AND academically.
