My Project
I have such a wonderful and motivated group of students. They're actively wanting to learn more about how to regulate their emotions and helps support their friends during times of emotional distress. Donating these tools to my students will help them learn the different emotions, as well as helping them learn strategies for self-regulation and self-comfort. At this age they learn mostly through play and exploration; Having these visual, physical, tactile tools will help them connect the physical feelings that come with emotions to the mental/emotional part we can't see, but can feel. My goals for this project are to help prepare my students for next year, as each year they become a little more independent.
