My Project

My students are needing social and emotional materials to help them calm their bodies effectively in the classroom and in a calm down space. Social and emotional learning is the process students take to understand, express, and manage their emotions. The books, feeling buddies, and bear will help my young students develop their own understanding of their emotions and be able to process them in healthy ways.

Students will use these materials to identify, express, and handle their emotions to build empathy skills, emotional regulation, and have positive relationships with peers and adults.

Students are more likely to achieve higher social, emotional, and academic skills later in life when they learn these skills in early childhood.
