Social Emotional Toolkit for Elementary School Students

My Project

This project is focused on building the social-emotional resources at my school! As the School Social Worker, I get the amazing opportunity to work with all 155 students in my elementary school through whole class lessons, small group Lunch Bunches, and individual counseling and check-ins. These materials will help facilitate social-emotional learning with all 155 students, ages 3 to 12.

The books will be used in morning meetings to learn about feelings with our preschool and kindergarten students.

The sensory items will be added to classroom Think Spaces and will be available to students when they are having big feelings that are hard to manage. The dry erase markers will be used during one on one counseling sessions for those students who prefer to draw their feelings on the whiteboard. All of these materials will greatly benefit a group of amazing students, many of whom are facing a lot of difficulties in their school and/or personal lives.

The students at the Our Elementary School are incredibly smart, loving, caring, respectful, curious, and amazing, and they deserve the best! Any help offered is greatly appreciated and will go so far in the students' social-emotional development! Thank you!
