Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a significant toll on the mental and emotional well-being of teenagers across our community. In these challenging times, our students deserve to have access to coping mechanisms to help restore their peace of mind.

The tools and resources proposed by this project, such as various dry erase poster boards will help my students with being able to communicate and work together inn groups, as well as stress balls, fidget poppers and stress strips, will not solve all of our problems, but it’s a start.

The journals will be used for mindfulness journaling.

By giving students tools such as these to manipulate during class, our students will start to learn to strategies to calm their nervous systems. This will help them in their learning environment to be fully engaged and successful.

By funding this project, you are not only investing in the well-being of our youth, but also contributing to the long-term health and resilience of our community as a whole.

We hope you will consider supporting this vital initiative to help teens overcome the negative impact of COVID-19 so that they can create a brighter future!
