Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the new school social worker in my school. Students at my school are full of curiosity, caring, and creative. As English language learners, books are so important to my students and are truly appreciated. Books are an essential resource for my students. Many of my students do not have access to books at home and rely on our classrooms and Library in school to access books.

Each student in my school learns in a variety of ways either through learning strategies or group work to ensure that each student's needs are met.

They are polite and well mannered. The students are eager to learn and make friends. I want to add to my library to expand their knowledge and help them be successful people in life. They are a wonderful group and I am thankful to part of this family.

My Project

These materials will help me support the students who have experienced some sort of trauma or emotional distress. We are fully in person at this time so all material will be used in the school setting.

These materials will provide emotional support for the students who need it.

They will use these materials to learn how to self-regulate. We will use books to understand we are not alone. All supplies will be used to support their social-emotional well-being. Some materials will be used for the classroom calm down corner.
