Social Emotional Support for High School Students

Help me give my students social emotional learning tools. These books will be read to them so that they can identify the feelings they are having and know they are not alone.

My Students

Our students are low incidence cluster students who love interacting with each other and being around their friends, teachers, and other staff. During this remote learning, they are not able to interact as they normally would during the school day, and this is creating an unnatural environment for them. They are in need of materials that will help them retain the skills that they have learned.

My Project

These social emotional support books will be read to low incidence cluster students to show them that they are not alone during this time. This will help them identify their feelings and allow them to understand what it is that is happening now and how they can overcome it.

Using these materials will also connect the students to familiar faces who will be reading the books to the students.

The stories will remind the students that they have the support of their teachers and other staff members in the school.
