My Project

Many students in self-contained classes struggle with managing frustration, anxiety, or impulses. Direct instruction in emotional awareness and coping strategies can reduce meltdowns, aggression, and withdrawal.

For students in self-contained settings, these things can be particularly challenging.

This is why social-emotional support is essential. My students come to school to learn, but they face so many challenges throughout their school days. I truly want them to feel loved and valued!

The items will help with emotional regulation in a time they need it most! Their needs go far beyond the average student, and I believe it is important to focus on their mental health to better support their learning!
