Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would use the 3-5 curriculum to teach students about different coping skills and emotional regulation. I would use the calming strips to teach students how to regulate in the class. The plushies would be used to create a calm down corner in each classroom. The books will be used to teach students about mindfulness and allow them to be creative with what works best for them. The tools from this grant would help us teach students how to build these skills. Tools will be used to classroom lessons, group sessions and individuals check-ins to experientially teach students about social emotional learning.
