This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are still suffering the effects of isolation and the stress of the pandemic. My belief is that these items will help me create a wellness office that fosters resilience by helping them identify emotions, manage their big feelings and fears, problem-solve, and foster positive relationships. Countless studies have proven that teaching these skills helps children succeed in school and their lives.

Well-supported students who connect with at least one trusted adult at school who can teach them to embrace, connect, and work through their emotions, will not only be successful in their studies but are less likely to fail due to emotional health.
