Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a preschool special education class where 90% of my students have a diagnosis of Autism. We talk about our emotions daily and I incorporate social-emotional learning through the school day. The items that I am requesting, like the light cube and emotion pouch toys, will provide students with opportunities for sensory breaks and tangible items to help them understand different emotions.

I love teaching this age group because my class is many of the students first school experience and I strive to make school a place where learning is fun and exciting.

I provide students with opportunities to complete lessons and feel a sense of pride and accomplishment with the work that they create. Thank you for taking the time to review my project.
