My Project

In Kindergarten through 5th grade, students are learning more than just math and reading—they're learning how to be kind, how to share, how to handle big feelings, and how to solve problems with words instead of frustration. Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the foundation for all of that. When children feel safe, understood, and supported, they are more ready and able to learn.

This project will give my K–5 students resources and tools to help provide emotional regulation, empathy, and teamwork.

Whether it's through SEL storybooks that teach compassion, calming tools for our “cool down corner” like coloring/play doh, or games that promote cooperation and kindness, these resources will support their emotional development during the most formative years of their lives. By funding this project, you're giving young students the emotional tools they need to succeed not only in school-but in life. You're helping to grow confident, kind, and resilient children who will one day shape the world with those same values.
