Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students work very hard to maintain a healthy and safe environment.

Our students take physical education class seriously and know the benefits of healthy living.

We would like to be able to provide each student with a workout mat. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are not able to allow students to share mats. Individual mats would be wonderful for our kiddos.

My Project

With a focus on providing SEL (Social Emotional Learning), we have implemented yoga and post workout meditation to our units.

Individual yoga mats would be wonderful for our kiddos.

We need to support our students' mental health as well as physical health so they can heal from some of the trauma they have experienced due to COVID-19.

Healthy minds are just as important to academic learning as intellect and physical health. We want to build all around health to support the whole being. We want our student to feel balanced and confident in who they are.
