Help me give my students an opportunity to express themselves through social emotional learning art activities.

My Project

The project is to introduce the medium of watercolor painting as a way of self expression.

The watercolor paint and brushes will allow students to have the tools to tell their stories.

The water based pens will provide access for students who may otherwise be intimidated by painting. The thick watercolor paper will allow for the use of more techniques and expression. This project is to bring activities I've been doing with small groups to the entire 3rd and 4th grades.

The students benefitting from this project are all dependents of U.S. Military Personnel. They experience many changes and insecurity in their lives and have very little control. This project is one way that I can help them tell their stories.
