My Project

In our after-school program, students come together from diverse backgrounds and face a wide range of emotional and social challenges. Many of them are still learning how to express their feelings, navigate relationships, and build self-confidence. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is a crucial part of helping them grow—not just academically, but as kind, resilient individuals.

With your support, I hope to create a small SEL-focused library filled with age-appropriate books that address emotions, empathy, conflict resolution, and self-awareness.

These stories will serve as mirrors and windows—reflecting students’ experiences while also helping them understand others. The books will be integrated into our group discussions, quiet reading time, and interactive SEL activities.
