This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Social emotional learning is even more critical since returning to school after months of virtual learning. Separation anxiety and social anxiety have increased, socialization skills with classmates and peers have become rusty, and many students need assistance with regulating their emotions and behaviors.

Teaching students these important social emotional skills is critical to them being ready to learn and to their overall academic success today and tomorrow.

The items selected for this project will help students learn and practice self-regulation, socialization skills, empathy, and focus. Mindfulness, yoga, books, fidgets, and games will be utilized for interactive and fun learning of essential skills.
