Social Emotional Learning and Self-Regulation

My Project

I teach K-3 Special Education students. These students have high needs and a lot of them struggle with social emotional skills. The Spot Feelings Stories are helpful in identifying the emotions students might be feeling and teaches additional tools to help students regulate when they need to.

The wobble stools help students move and regulate their bodies while they are sitting down during times that make it harder for them to wiggle.

I have many students who need to wiggle during independent work time. I found these to be the best tools for them, but I have more students who like them than I have in my classroom.

The goal of these items in my classroom is to help teach social emotional and self-regulation skills. Both are vital to a successful student. Thank you for helping my students grow into successful students.
