My Project

These materials, including flexible seating and headphones, will specifically help with learning acceleration and SEL. Students in our school use the IM math program and curriculum. In a way to get students to collaborate and learn from each other, the most effective way is to have students work in vertical learning spaces with different colored markers. This will accelerate their math learning and give teachers the ability to progress monitor as they circulate through the lesson. I co-teach as a special education teacher in two grade levels, so these materials will be used for a wide range of students. The other materials include Colors of the World crayons, social stories books, and SEL read-aloud books. Students will be exposed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. Social stories are a great tool to use with neurodivergent students and their peers.
