Social Emotional Empowerment Program Materials

Help me give my students books that empower them to be their best selves. “The Little Spot of” book set helps celebrate our traits: perseverance, respect, integrity, determination, and empathy. We will use these as supplementals in social and emotional learning.

My Project

Our school is full of diverse and enthusiastic students who bring unique strengths and challenges to the school culture. We teach students from kindergarten through eighth grade. To celebrate their experiences and perspectives, we encourage students to think for themselves during class. The books in this project will be used to lead the class in conversations about the importance of different social/emotional categories including perseverance, respect, integrity, determination, and empathy.

After a group discussion, the books will be paired with an appropriate art and craft activity to further engage student creativity.

The prizes, or toys, in this project will be utilized to recognize positive student behavior, especially with our youngest students.
