This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students are at the stage of their development where emotional development is CRUCIAL. This can look like learning how to build and maintain a growth mindset, understanding what different emotions look and feel like, or understanding how to build resilience. There are so many more examples, and the card decks, activities, and exercises in this project will tremendously help my students develop these skills.

Talking about emotions and negative experiences can be daunting and nerve wracking.

With tools like the card decks that targets resetting your nervous system, developing resilience, and building self-esteem, this can ease the process. Engaging activities like playing charades from a large variety of emotion plushies, the mindfulness and self-care stacking game and emotional regulation game can make this process of social emotional development less nerve-racking and more fun!
