Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout this pandemic, scholars have gone through many experiences. Because of these experiences, scholars are having big emotions. We want to help our scholars develop an understanding of their emotions.

With these materials, we hope scholars can identify their feelings and find a way to express those emotions.

In the classroom, scholars will work with their friends to find healthy ways to cope with big emotions.

We plan to continue incorporating these lessons during our morning meeting. We have been able to use some social-emotional materials to go over how we are feeling, how to identify our feelings, and how to manage and control big emotions. We are wanting more materials to read during our morning meeting. We also hope to use the Scribble Spot plushies to help them identify the feelings and make it more engaging for them. Lastly, we would like more books that give us ideas for appropriate activities for the classroom.
