This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are some of my favorite little human beings! They come to school every single day with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

I strive to find ways to make my classroom feel like home and provide every student with what they need to be successful today and in the future.

I want to be able to make sure I am doing everything that I can on my end to help my students. Attending professional developments keeps me up to date on best practices and new tactics to use to improve my classroom.

My Project

As a teacher, just like my students, I am always focused on growth and continuous learning. In today's world and in the future, it is important for classrooms to place an emphasis on social-emotional well being and competence.

In this conference, I am excited to learn how to merge the brain’s reaction to situations with emotional response, and strategically build professional capital.

By getting my registration, travel, and lodging for the "Building Resilient Classrooms with Social Emotional Awareness" I will be able to fulfill my goals of creating a more self-aware and resilient classroom. I want to better understand how to support my students with the skills they need to manage the complex situations they encounter.
