Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Since Covid 19 students need additional time and focus on social skill development and building positive relationships with trusted adults at school. The tools in the project are specifically designed to support relationship building with supportive staff in the school setting. From conversation starters to games and books about emotions students will benefit from having positive interactions with adults in school thus impacting their joy for learning and excitement to go to school every day. Sensory tools included in this project will suport self-regulation and allow for additional sensory input for those students who need sensory tools to support their ability to regluate their bodys and in turn increase their focus and attention to learning.
