Social Distancing and Keeping Safe

Help me give my students the tools they need to be safe and avoid contact with peers during this COVID pandemic.

My Students

I am a third-grade teacher in Pennsylvania. My classroom is made up of thirty, eager third graders. I also have a wide range of reading and math abilities in my classroom. I am the teacher with the ESL-friendly classroom. I would like to accommodate more students who speak different languages.

My reading levels range from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.

It's important that I read with these children everyday in order to get them on grade level by the end of the year. All my students get free or reduced-price lunch and all these children love coming to school.

My Project

Students will learn about tools for safety, and is there anything more important than keeping our children safe, especially during this pandemic? I would like to teach my students how to safely and completely sanitize their computer and classroom equipment. When school resumes, the students will learn the importance of using clean and sanitized equipment in school and at home. Like all safety lessons students learn today, is there anything more important than protecting yourself when you use shared equipment? It's a very important life lesson for our students. My students will learn that safety for all of us in number one.

This project will help keep our students and our staff safe as we get back to learning in the classroom.

A child will not be able to attend class, if he or she is experiencing a fever, a cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or diarrhea. This will affect their ability to attend class and learn effectively. The infrared (touch less) thermometers are ideal for use during the COVID-19 outbreak, they allow multiple temperatures to be taken without the thermometer touching individuals. Thank you for donating to our project!
