My Students

I work in an inner city school where most of my students come from low income households. The neighborhoods where my students are from surround them with poverty and still my students come to school ready to learn. Their little minds are still full of wonder and curiosity and want to explore as much as possible.

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions!

They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.

My Project

In our Kindergarten classroom, scholars love to move independently through the room and use their technology at their will. During our rotation time, if students wanted to use their iPad, they would simply walk to the iPad cart where everyone's iPad's were located and retrieve their personal iPad.

Then Covid-19 hit and everything in the classroom will now be different when we return.

To try to make this transition easier and allow my students access to their technology, I would like these multi-unit tablet chargers for each table. Having this will eliminate what could be a hot spot for Covid-19 to spread within our classroom. Furthermore having individual headphones will also help eliminate the spread of this terrible illness as well.
